credo

I feel no need

to describe the world as we see it.

It is easily recorded

through more accurate technologies than words.

Language has needs of its own.

It is like a new species

we human beings have spawned

and live with symbiotically.

Our task is to nurture it,

to give it room to flourish,

to heal it when it is wounded.

It is like a broken nightingale,

whose care may be our reason for being,

whose voice may be heard

in all those places

that we call the heart.
